Our upcoming projects focus on practical, sustainable solutions that strengthen families, empower youth, and improve daily life in the communities we serve in Western Kenya.
Each project is developed in partnership with local leaders to ensure long-term impact, community ownership, and real solutions to real needs.
Current Initiative
Boys Shower & Sanitation Rebuild (Western Kenya)
One of our most urgent upcoming projects is the complete rebuild of a boys shower and sanitation facility at a boarding school in Western Kenya.
The current structure (see photo) is unsafe, undignified, and no longer meets the basic hygiene needs of the students who depend on it every day. It lacks proper privacy, functional drainage, and reliable sanitation infrastructure.
On our next trip, we plan to fully demolish the existing structure and rebuild it from the ground up.
Project Scope Includes:
Durable cement construction designed for long-term use
Proper drainage systems for sanitation and hygiene
Multiple functional shower stations
Handwashing and water access points
A safe, private changing area for students
This project goes beyond infrastructure. It is about restoring dignity, improving health outcomes, and creating a safe environment where students can focus on learning and growth without preventable barriers.
We have already seen the impact of similar work through the successful completion of a new girls shower facility serving 60 students at the same school. That project demonstrated what is possible when communities and partners come together to invest in lasting change.
Now, we are continuing that work.
Funding Opportunity
We are currently seeking partners and donors to help fully fund this project. A single lead gift of $7,500 or collective contributions will make this rebuild possible.
Ongoing Projects: Clean Water
In partnership with our local church in Kisumu, we are planning to install simple but effective gutter and water systems that give families access to clean water year-round.
Instead of walking miles with buckets — or relying on a donkey to carry them — they can access clean water only a short distance from home. These systems may look simple, but they create a lasting, life-changing impact for the families who rely on them.

With trust growing and community needs becoming clearer, we’re preparing for the next phase — expanding current projects, launching new ones, and empowering families with resources that create lasting stability.
In addition to the upcoming gutter and water system, we have several projects in the pipeline: demolishing and rebuilding the boys’ shower area at a local school, tiling classrooms at another school in a heavily poverty stricken area, and providing support to a number of local churches.
These steps move us closer to our vision of empowering the next generation and providing stronger, safer, and more sustainable communities.
